Academy of Forensic Sciences took part at the "Days of science and research of the University of Karlovy Vary". The Academy, its work and mission were presented to university staff and students. Discussions also took place around the problems of development of forensic science in the country. President of the Academy,  prof.  Porada, explained to students of legal and forensic specialization the importance of forensic science in the current situation, vice president of the Academy, MSc. Svetlík, also spoke on the prospects of cooperation of the Academy and the University. Further discussion took place in the corridors, in particular regarding the possibility of cooperation with the Technology Centre in Rumburk in training, seminars and conferences.

The Executive Committee of the AFV approved 25th March 2011 a new type of membership in the Academy - a collective membership. Executive Committee by this approvement declared, that there are several major associations and institutions that have developed significant activities in the forensic field. If from one side the achievements of forensic institutions are thanks to their top forensic experts as individuals, on the other side success can not be achieved without a stable and everyday work of each individual of the institution. The Executive Committee has therefore found AFV collective membership in the Academy as an important and previously missing membership form.
