The first professional section of the Academy of Forensic Sciences - Digital Forensics - unofficially began its work on 1 February 2011. There are currently prepared all necessary documents to fulfill all formal requirements, as prescribed by the statutes of the Academy, to be officially approved by the next General Assembly of the Academy.
